(Sept. 13, 2024) — Large Co., Ltd. received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the 2024 Korea Safety Technology Awards for its innovative FIRESSAK fire blanket, which quickly suppresses vehicle fires by cutting off oxygen and blocking heat and toxic gases.
The award was presented on September 10 at the 2024 Korea Safety Industry Expo in BEXCO, Busan. The Korea Safety Technology Awards honor exceptional safety products that contribute to public and industrial safety.
FIRESSAK is designed for rapid response to electric vehicle fires. By covering the vehicle, it prevents oxygen flow, extinguishing flames and containing toxic gases. Made from 96% high-purity silica and reinforced with stainless steel thread, it withstands temperatures up to 1,400°C.
FIRESSAK is the only fire suppression blanket in Korea certified for Disaster Safety and designated as an Innovative Product by the Public Procurement Service. It is now used by fire stations, public institutions, and major companies like Hyundai, LG, and Samsung.
